Active holiday: between nature and sport
A surprisingly varied landscape makes this area between Venice and the Dolomites unique, an ideal destination for lovers of nature, sport and well-being. Suggestive walks, nature trails in uncontaminated corners, nordic walking, cycling or mountain biking, mountain hikes, paragliding, golf and horse trekking through history, art and food and wine. There are many possibilities to live an active holiday and discover the area.
The northern Prealps in the north offer mountain lovers breathtaking views and views. Going up from Segusino, the Alta Via delle Prealpi Trevigiane TV1 crosses Pianezze and the natural reserve of Monte Cesen and, passing through the Posa Puner refuge and the Loff bivouac, joins the Grappa to the Cansiglio. A nature trail that offers a scenery of steep slopes, dense forests, meadows, pastures and huts, surrounded by clouds that almost want to embrace those who follow it.
But to make this area characteristic are above all the hills on which the endless network of vineyards dominates. There are many itineraries of rare beauty and charm: the Ring of Prosecco Superiore on the hills of Valdobbiadene, the walks to the hill of San Gallo and the Towers of Credazzo to Farra di Soligo, the Path of the Vedette da Soligo to Col San Martino, the characteristic Via dell’Acqua of Cison di Valmarino, the paths that cross the ancient fief of Collalto …
Going down towards the Piave, the landscape becomes flatter and meets the typical humid environment of the Palù with the nature trails of the Settolo Basso in Bigolino and the Fontane Bianche in Sernaglia della Battaglia, which wind through springs, crystal clear water and flora and fauna typical of these environments. The landscape of palù is also found further south, in some areas between the Monticano and Livenza rivers.
Bicycle lovers can undertake one of the many routes that lead from Conegliano to the surrounding hills and the municipalities of the plain: San Vendemiano, which is the background of Villa Lippomano lying on the hill between rows of vines, the church of Santi Pietro e Paolo in Castello Roganzuolo, a small frescoed jewel offering a splendid panorama, Mareno di Piave and Vazzola along the Strada dei Vini del Piave, Codognè in the center of which stands the imposing Villa Toderini De Gajardis, Orsago and Gaiarine with nature corners to be discovered and mills still in function and finally Godega di Sant’Urbano and Santa Lucia di Piave known for the millenary fairs.
