EDUCATIONAL ARCHAEOLOGICAL PARK OF LIVELET
The Livelet Educational Archaeological Park (https://www.parcolivelet.it/) is located in the municipality of Revine Lago, in the enchanting scenery of the Soligo Valley, on the shores of two glacial lakes. The structure proposes the reconstruction of a pile-dwelling village that illustrates the life habits of the men who have inhabited this territory since the late Neolithic, as documented by the archaeological remains found in the nearby town of Colmaggiore di Tarzo.
At Livelet you can immerse yourself in a real journey into prehistory, where time is punctuated by a visit to the three reconstructed housing structures that represent the Neolithic, the Copper Age and the Bronze Age, where the visitor has the opportunity to observe reproductions of tools and instruments similar to those used daily thousands of years ago.
The Park, every Sunday from March to November, opens its doors to the public and families, who can visit the pile-dwelling village and carry out workshops and imitative archeology activities.
CAGLIERON CAVES
At 20 km from Conegliano, in the town of Fregona, there is the complex of the Caglieron Caves (https://www.prolocofregona.it/grotte-del-caglieron/), over thirty caves of natural formation, thanks to the passage of the Caglieron torrent, and of artificial formation, the result of an extensive mining activity by the man, who left large hollow caves like.
The complex is almost entirely open to visitors thanks to a route of about 1km which, thanks to the walkways, allows you to penetrate the caves and the surrounding environment: children will love it!
Visiting the Caglieron Caves is a unique experience of its kind: it allows you to closely observe the great erosion work of the Caglieron stream and also to perceive the activity of man. For children, it is like entering a magical place, between the echo of one’s voice, the silence of nature and small signs of a past life.
