Alpini’s Museum
In 2006 by the will of the local section ANA and the Municipality of Conegliano, through the restoration of a building of the former Marras Barracks of Piazzale San Martino and the arrangement of the promenade along the Monticano river, the Museo degli Alpini was born.
In the three rooms, finely furnished, the history of the Alpine Troops is narrated through texts and images from the date of their establishment (1872) to present day, with particular attention on the two world wars.
The exhibition is completed by a rich collection of uniforms, memorabilia and original weapons as well as display panels. Temporary thematic exhibitions are also set up in the rooms.
During the Christmas holidays, the Museum will be closed.
It will reopen to the public on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 14 January, from 15.00 to 18.30.
Out-of-hours opening by advance booking at 339 1425220.
