Museum of the Bianchi Key
The Museum of the Bianchi Key 1770, hosted within the production plant of Keyline SpA, a leading manufacturer of keys and key cutting machines, exhibits one of the richest and most complete collections of keys, padlocks and locks in Europe.
It is an actual treasure chest of precious objects, it contains more than two thousand finds from all over the world and traces back to diverse historical periods relevant to their place and value, starting from the 1st century AD to the present day. They are proof of the technological evolution of daily objects, that have accompanied human events for millennia and reveal some of histories best kept secrets.
The Museum is a business museum, an expression of a happy combination of industry and culture, that not only tells the story of keys, but also that of Keyline, of Made in Italy and of it’s success and creativity. In fact, the Bianchi Key Museum 1770 tells the story of the Bianchi family, the longest-lived entrepreneurial family in the world, which since 1770 has been operating uninterruptedly in the production of keys and which still runs the company today.
The collection, which is constant evolution, acts as an interpreter of the pasts testimonies and projects itself into the future, as an invitation to safeguard its roots and enhance its historical heritage, in the knowledge that the long-lived enterprise is the only one that knows how to make an ally with time, making a treasure out of one’s memory and identity.
